What is an oblak account?

An oblak account gives you access to the platform.

With an oblak account, you can send and receive emails, chat with your friends and family and store your precious photos and videos securely in the cloud.

How to create an account

  1. To create an account complete the registration form.
  2. You will receive an email with a confirmation link you have to click. When you click the link you will be redirected to the oblak homepage.
  3. If nothing happens automatically, navigate to the homepage and click the login button:
  4. enter your username and password, and click sign in. You should now be redirected to your dashboard page.
Important

The first time you login to your account, a Bitcoin wallet is automatically created. You will be shown a mnemonic seed that you have to back-up and confirm before you can start using your wallet.

Enable 2FA authentication before you use your account to store sensitive information.

Different apps can have different ways of constructing a useraccount handle, see the example below:

if you chose the username barry.white upon registration then:

  • email address: barry.white@oblak.be
  • Element/Matrix account: @barry.white:oblak.be
  • Nextcloud account: barry.white@cloud.oblak.be

Account settings

You can modify your account using the settings page. To open this page, click the settings icon on the dashboard page. There you can change your password, recovery email and 2FA settings.
